Whitehorse to Tok

Whoa!!!  We have had such good roads that it was no surprise that all good things must come to an end.  For about 100 miles east of the Alaska border we were traveling on incredibly rough road.  There was not a lot of construction slow down as we expected, there was simply slow down due to bumps, gravel road and potholes.  Gary and Floy had a rougher time because they were towing a fifth-wheel.  We had it a little easier because of the tag axle.  However, we traveled really slowly and despite all caution, our windshield got it's first ding from a rock thrown from an 18-wheeler.  Weather was pretty lousy the whole way to Tok.  Pics are not too sunny.  We are in Tok for 3 days.  Yipee......Had ding filled in and hope it lasts the rest of the trip. Can you imagine having to wait for a windshield to be shipped from Red Bay Alabama?

Old Tourist Bus in the Transportation Museum in Whitehorse.
Between Whetehorse and Tok.  This bear was taking a stroll.
Kluane Lake was huge and went on for miles and miles and miles.  Beautiful.
There were very few businesses on the long stretch between Whitehorse and Tok.  So many of them are closed.  This was a motel.
This little sign appeared much too often on the side of the road.  Meaning...........slow down for a bump, pothole or other annoying tear your rig up road condition.
Finally, Alaska!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Little Bit couldn't figure out what the big deal was.
Very poor picture but an idea of the habits of Dall Sheep.  They rest during the daytime.  They were Way Far Up the Mountain.
